about

This is some of the music I wrote and recorded during the Pandemic from around March 2020 up to around April-Mayish 2021. They are the songs I worked on and played to myself on guitar while sitting on my bed probably every day. A "snap shot," one may say, of my year.

The music is free to download, if you decide to pay money all will be donated to the Food Bank of South Jersey.

The photos of the album art are LITERAL snap shots I took over the past year. Top left to right working down:

1. Bike ride through the pine barrens for about a half hour on a sand road that eventually got so loose I fell off and had to walk until it was firmer. I ended up at Atsion lake but on the inside of the park. The gates were locked so I had to toss my bike over and climb it.

2. Albert just being cute.

3. My kokedama in all its glory after freshing it up with new soil. Only lasted a few weeks. Then it fell apart and I threw the crumbled mess of the plant in a bucket for about 6 months. It actually did pretty well in there.

4. Trixy being a cutie. She passed away first few months of the Pandemic. It was nice to get to be home with her during the last few days where otherwise, wouldn't be (easily) able to.

5. Max killing it. We rode from my house in Lindenwold to Cape May and then to Wildwood, around 100 miles.

6. We all learned new skills during the pandemic with its varying degrees of isolation. I learned how to skate board! Well, longboard is the verb. I got it from a guy on craigslist and would sometimes meet Jake and skate outside. It is something I never did growing up and I think its so cool that I can do it now.

7. My watermelon I was growing at work in the alley! Since I was a kid I've ALWAYS wanted to grow a watermelon. This was my first.

8. For a bit of time I wanted to get into painting. I met Jake outside at Batsto and he had the supplies. I had fun but didn't get into it like I did skateboarding, I'll jump back in soon enough. Jake though, is sooo good at visual art.

9. My pocket piano and compression pedal from when I was recording the synth part to Thread.

10. My nectarine tree I grew from seed in summer of 2020. I ate a nectarine and bit too close to the center. The pit was cracked open and I knew, I could get the seed to grow if it was already in the works of germinating - and I did!

11. Snoopy being cute. He passed away in late summer/early fall. Nice to get to be able to spend time with him

12. All I've wanted as a gift when ever asked for the past few years has been a pot. My friend Nicole got me such a winner from Wing on Wo & Co. I was and - still am excited about it. The avocado in it is a Florida avocado that is now a few feet too tall

13. I stopped shaving around June and just decided to not shave again until I got vaccinated. I ended up going past that date and shaved the day before my 28th birthday in 2021

14. My brother Geoff visited with my nephew Owen on the day I was recording drums outside for +. I took a video of him sitting behind my bare drum set and hitting a few things with the sticks.

15. My mom, what an absolute legend. Love her. For her birthday she clapped out her candles as to not use air to blow. It was so impressive.

16. Max texted me one day that he was thinking of buying a Russian diving watch literally out of the blue. He never really wore a watch before. And has never dived. I was so taken back. It sounded so cool. And I asked if it was okay if I got one too as I wouldn't want to take away your unique thing. And he said I was hoping you would too. A year later I have a watch box full of watches
